Obituary for Alexander J "Alex" Karr
Alexander J. “Alex” Karr, 25, of Centre Hall, passed away suddenly on October 17, 2017 at his home. Born on June 6, 1992, in Fairfield, CT, he was the son of Kristine M. Karr of Centre Hall and George V. May, Jr. of Connecticut.
Alex was a 2010 graduate of Penns Valley High School. He was currently employed at Snappy’s in Centre Hall, where he was the Master Sub Maker. Before Snappy’s, Alex worked at the M & M Copying in Bellefonte. Alex attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall.
Alex enjoyed visiting historical sites and had a great interest in history. He liked to play computer games and was good at working on computers. He enjoyed listening to music, being with family and friends, watching Penn State Football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His favorite pastime was cooking and trying to create new food combinations.
Along with his parents, Alex is survived by his two sisters; Miranda E. Fuller and her husband, Tyler, of Pennsylvania Furnace, and Zoe R. Riggleman of Centre Hall, two half-sisters; Nicole May and Hailey May, one half-brother, Christopher May all of Connecticut, and by his maternal grandparents, James and Phyliss Karr of Centre Hall, paternal grandmother, Charlene Williams of Connecticut, paternal grandfather, George May, Sr., of Connecticut. a niece, Makenna Fuller and a nephew, Austin Fuller. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George May, Sr.
Memorial service will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3pm at the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall with Rev. Mark Messner officiating. Visitation with family will be from 2:30 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 292, Centre Hall, PA 16828
